PARK MAINTENANCE
The Otter Lake Park is accepting applications for a Park Maintenance Person. Successful candidate will be able to maintain grounds, mowing weed eating, light electrical repairs, plumbing, small engines, chain saws, operate light construction equipment, and become a certified waste hauler. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions. Individual must have a valid driver’s license and pass a drug screening.
This is a full-time position, benefits include 100% employer paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance; IMRF retirement pension, paid holidays and vacation. Salary ranges $15.50 – 18.50 per hour depending on qualifications.

WATER PLANT OPERATOR
The Otter Lake Water Commission operates a 3.5 MGD surface water treatment plant and a wholesale distribution system. We are currently accepting applications for a water plant operator. The successful candidate will have valid drivers license, Class A CDL with air brakes preferred. Previous water system experience is preferred but not required. The open position will require on-call, shift work and some weekends and holidays.
Rate of pay is determined by the operators IL EPA certification level and relevant work experience, as follows:
Class A - $ 25.74 / Class B - $ 22.88 / Class C - $ 22.36 / Class D - $ 20.80 / No water experience $ 18.72 - $ 19.76
Class A CDL with air brakes add $0.75 per hour to the above – when applies add $15 a day to paycheck for on-call.
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, climb steps and ladders, work in inclement weather, be willing to work holidays and weekends as required. Must pass a drug screening. Must obtain class D water certificate within 12 months. Able to take direction and provide feedback.
